[:ja]麻布氷川神社大祭は東京都港区で開催されるお祭りです。港区は赤坂、白金と麻布を含めて三社氷川神社が鎮座されていることから、区別しやすいよう麻布氷川神社と呼ばれています。はるか昔の938年に源経基が平将門の乱を制圧する目的で東征した際、麻布一本松の地に勧請創建されました。しかし勧請については1469年から1485年の文明年間の太田道灌による説もあります。また朱色の美しい社の本殿などは実は再興されたものでして、過去には惜しくも東京大空襲により焼失してしまいました。麻布氷川神社はかつて人気を博した美少女戦士セーラームーン作中に火川神社として登場しており、聖地巡礼ブームの先駆けにもなっています。

例大祭では山車、子供神輿、大人神輿、女神輿が巡行する他、麻布竹谷町、本村町、新堀町による三町会連合渡御も行われます。町名が記された提灯が先導しますので、どちらの神輿がすぐに分かります。渡御の途中では様々な人からのふるまいが出まして、祭りは終始和やかな雰囲気で行われます。

それから無形文化財の里神楽の奉納が行われ、境内は厳かな雰囲気に包まれます。独特の節に合わせて舞う三筒男命などの神楽をぜひ例大祭で観賞してみてはいかがでしょうか？
