さて昭和天満宮祭では辺りが薄暗くなると穏やかな光をまとった万燈神輿渡御が始まります。万燈神輿は神輿を囲むように、ぐるりと提灯が付いているので、遠くから見ますと非常にキレイです。夕方、日没後、夜間と時間帯によって空の明るさが変わりますが、その時々で万燈神輿の見え方が異なります。ぜひ時間をずらして渡御を観賞してみてはいかがでしょうか？

また山車の渡御では福島芝囃子によるお囃子が響き渡ります。福島芝囃子を聴いてみますと、音を大きく立てるのではなく、節や音の奏で方がゆったり優雅だと分かるでしょう。福島芝囃子は御座敷囃子という名称もありまして、名称通りに上品な演奏が特長なのです。

毎年開催されている昭和天満宮祭ですが、2014年にはゲリラ豪雨により開催が中止されることもありました。雨天により中止も起こり得るので、天候が思わしくない場合には開催元に問い合わせをすることをおすすめします。また天候に恵まれるように、神様にお願いしながら祭りの開催を心待ちにしましょう。
