さて日枝神社山王祭の大きな見どころには神幸祭があります。県内外から多くの見物客が集まる神幸祭は、歴史装束をまとった者らが行列を成して優雅に巡行する麗らかな王朝絵巻が見られる人気の行事です。格調高い御鳳輦は2基、宮神輿1基も巡行します。約300メートルに及ぶ行列を見逃さないよう、見物する場合にはあらかじめルートを下調べしておくことをおすすめしています。それから本祭の開催は毎年ではなく、神田祭と隔年で行われるので注意しましょう。ですから神田祭の情報を合わせて確認するように。ちなみに本祭は西暦が偶数年に開催されますので覚えておきましょう。
