[:ja]よこすかみこしパレードは神奈川県横須賀市で開催されるお祭りです。2016年には約6万人弱の来場者数を記録しました。横須賀市は在日米軍の駐屯地であることから、よこすかみこしパレードは日米両国の親睦を深める祭りでもあります。しかし祭りでは軍事施設である基地内に入場できることから、パスポート、写真付きのマイナンバーカードなど身分証明書の提示が求められることもあります。金属探知機の手荷物検査も徹底されていますので、危険物はもちろんですが不適切な私物の持ち歩きは控えてください。

約60以上もの団体が自慢の神輿や山車で練り歩くよこすかみこしパレードは、とても和気あいあいとしていて和やかです。横須賀中央大通りからパレードが始まって、普段日本人が歩くことが許されない米海軍横須賀基地内のクレメント通りからも進み始めます。いつもは緊張感が張りつめている軍事施設ですが、よこすかみこしパレードの時だけは笑顔に溢れています。

動画は米海軍横須賀基地CFAYに所属の方々です。｢わっしょい！わっしょい！｣の掛け声を上げながら、日米の国旗が掲げられた神輿で渡御が行われています。さらに美しい音色を奏でる音楽隊のバンド演奏や、バランスを取る様子にハラハラドキドキする梯子乗りもみこしパレードと一緒に行われ、会場内は歓声が上がって大盛り上がりです。美味しい軽食が並ぶアメリカン屋台も設置されますので、ぜひよこすかみこしパレードで味わってみてはいかがでしょうか？
