[:ja]弘前さくらまつりは青森県弘前市で開催されるお祭りです。お祭りが開催される弘前公園にはどっしりと構えた弘前城があります。1611年に築城された弘前城は現在天守閣が3層となっていますが、当時は天守閣が5層ありました。しかし落雷により2層が焼失してしまったと言われています。

さて弘前さくらまつりでは八重紅枝垂れ桜、弘前雪明かり、カスミザクラ、ソメイヨシノなど約50を超える種類の桜を観賞することが出来ます。敷地内にはゆったりと水が流れていく外堀があるのですが、桜がひらひら舞い落ちますと、水面一面が桃色に変化します。その景色はとても美しく、写真に収める観光客が多いです。晴天日には満開の桜と弘前城と真っ青な岩木山を写真に収めてみてはいかがでしょうか？赤・緑・青のコントラストが美しいですよ。またソメイヨシノにおいては樹齢が約130年を超える株もあり、最古の物は1882年に植樹された記録があります。さらに晴れた日には西堀にてボートに乗り、水上から桜満開の景色を楽しむのもおすすめです。

さて日没後には桜がライトアップされるのも見どころです。ライトアップされた桜は幽玄な雰囲気を醸し出し、昼間と違った姿を見せてくれます。まつり期間中は屋台なども出店していますから、お腹が空いたらそこで軽食を頂きましょう。ただし弘前公園をすべて回るとなると、時間にして一時間程度必要になります。そのためスケジュール管理をしっかりして効率よく周ることをおすすめします。

On a sunny day, you can also take a boat at Nishibori and enjoy views of the cherry blossoms in full bloom from the water.

It is also very interesting to see the cherry blossoms light up after sunset. The lighted-up cherry blossoms give a grandiose atmosphere, and they show us a different appearance from the daytime.
