さて三島神社例大祭は二日に渡って開催され、祭りでは献幣(けんぺい)神事が行われます。献幣神事とは白装束をまとった氏子代表者が幣帛(神様への献上物)を唐櫃に入れ、町内を練り歩くという内容です。あまり見られない儀式ですから、ぜひ祭りの際にご覧になってはいかがでしょうか?

この他には氏子地域所属の町会神輿が一ヶ所に集まって行われる連合渡御も予定されています。連合渡御は神社前の金杉通りからスタート。各町会で渡御を行う前に一本締めで気持ちを一つにする様子がとてもカッコいいですね。渡御は笛と手拍子でリズムを取りながら進んでいきます。掛け声についてやや各町内で違うので、聞き分けてみると面白いかもしれません。さらに鎮守の三島神社前に到着しますと、歩幅を合わせながらぐるりと神輿を回転させ、さらに天高くグーッと差し上げます。神輿渡御では交通規制が敷かれて歩きやすくなりますので、小さなお子さんと一緒の参加もおすすめです。[:en]Mishima Shrine example festival is a festival to be held in Taito-ku, Tokyo.
