[:ja]青森ねぶたは青森県青森市で開催されるお祭りです。毎年8月に開催される有名なお祭りで、夏の風物詩として県民に親しまれています。青森ねぶたは重要無形民俗文化財としても指定されており、青森県民に大切に受け継がれています。毎年来場者数が約300万人を超える大きなイベントでもあり、この時期には観光客で賑わいます。

さて青森ねぶたの由来は諸説ありますが、坂上田村麻呂が蝦夷を討伐するため、人形の中に兵を隠して敵を討ち取ったと言われています。この他には農業の妨げとなる睡魔や人々に災難をもたらす悪霊を人形に移し、川に流して邪気を払った七夕行事が由来とされている面もあるなど、由来は一つではありません。

さて青森ねぶたでは「ラッセラー、ラッセラー」と活気あふれる元気な掛け声が響き渡ります。掛け声を上げているのは跳人(ハネト)と呼ばれる衆で、おそろいの衣装とうちわでお祭りを盛り上げています。跳人は指定の衣装を身にまとえば観光客でも参加が認められているため、ぜひ市内の衣装店にて跳人の衣装をレンタルし、青森ねぶたに参加してみてはいかがでしょうか?青森ねぶたでは竹と木で模った大型の人型が見物で、間近で見ればその迫力に思わず背がのけぞります。ねぶたは高さが約7メートル、重さは約4トンにも及び、曳き手が力を合わせて動かします。

夜間には夜空に花火が打ち上げられ、ねぶたが青森港海上を渡ります。受賞作が一堂に会しますのでぜひ写真に収めましょう。ねぶたのデザインは様々ですが、歌舞伎調の人形が模られ始めたのは江戸時代の頃からと言われており、それが現在まで続いているんですね。[:en]Aomori Nebuta is a festival to be held in Aomori, Aomori Prefecture.
